Difficult to shorten chain and not scratch the paint. Had to remove top part in order to rotate the arms into position as it gets shipped with the turned together so it fits in a smaller box for shipping purposes. Got it installed then went to put on glass shades and one of the holders was to small to hold any of the shades. Took it down and returned it.
